# Before You Begin

This guide is for users who want to flash secure operating system Castrum OS onto a [supported Google Pixel](/conectum-portal-documentation/services/editor/supported-devices-+-why-google-pixel.md) device using the Conectum portal. Whether you're a seasoned tech enthusiast or someone with zero Android experience, you're in the right place.

### Requirements

To proceed with installation, you will need:

* A supported Google Pixel device
* A USB cable

Once you have a valid Flashing Key and meet the system requirements, you are ready to begin the installation process.

### Purchase a Flashing Key

1. Visit the[ **Conectum Portal**](https://portal.conectum.app/)
2. Navigate to the **Castrum OS** section
3. Purchase a **Flashing Key** using Conectum Credits
4. Confirm acceptance of:
   * Terms and Conditions
   * Privacy Policy

By completing the purchase, you confirm that you understand:

* Castrum OS is designed exclusively for supported Google Pixel devices
* All data on the device will be permanently erased during installation
* The installation replaces the existing operating system entirely

### Flashing Key Terms

Please review the following important conditions:

* A Flashing Key is valid for **3 months from the date of purchase**
* Each key can be used to install Castrum OS on **one device only**
* The key is bound to the Conectum account used for purchase
* Flashing Keys are **non-transferable**
* Flashing Keys are **non-refundable**
* Keys cannot be resold or shared with other users

Once used, the key is permanently consumed.

### Where to Find Your Key

After purchase, your Flashing Key will appear in:

**Portal → Castrum OS → My Keys**

In this section you can:

* View purchased keys
* Check their validity
* Start the flashing process **→ Use Key**
